When mountaineers tackle really big mountains, like Everest, they don’t climb it in one go. They trek to the bottom of the mountain where they establish a base camp, with all of the logistical support that is needed for climbing the mountain. Clothing, ropes, food, tents, oxygen…
And then they climb up a bit finding a route through all the obstacles, and establish a camp, known as Camp 1. They carry supplies up there, put up tents for shelter etc. Then they find the route upwards and establish a higher camp, called Camp 2, and so on, until they are close enough to the summit to make a final push and they’ve built a solid foundation on the lower parts of the mountain.
The journey that you are undertaking with this course is almost the same as climbing a really big mountain. So, every week we will have a live call where we all discuss the lessons and activities of that week. While you are the one climbing the mountain, we are here for you, at the Base camp, gladly offering support, encouragement and our experience of having climbed that mountain ourselves.
Make a note in your diary, so that you don’t miss these valuable and interactive live calls where we can chat, share and also provide further insights and exercises.
And if you can’t make the live call, the recording will be available later.
